Trainers
The backbone of our community, you bring out the best of the competition horse and rider partnership. Working with USREF gives you the opportunity to focus on training without having to look for clinician sponsors, solicit riders or deal with clinic administration.

During your participation at horse trials (as a coach, judge, or competitor) you have seen examples of unsafe or even dangerous riding. This could include witnessing a rider galloping too fast with not enough control, 'chasing' a horse to an obstacle. By becoming a clinician for a USREF clinic you can incorporate safety techniques and theory into your regular teaching plan. These could include: Correct galloping techniques, Upper body and leg positioning, Riding changing terrain questions, or Positive self-talk and visualization. We give you a new way to create your clinician schedule. Participating in a clinician program can guarantee either all or part of your daily professional rate and any travel expenses. This is able to be done through the generous sponsorships from corporations and individuals alike through our non-profit program. |
